Louis Vuitton release new NFTs in game

According to Louis Vuitton, their app “Louis The Game” has been downloaded over 2 million times since its launch in 2021 – the game rewarded audiences with access to an NFT raffle once gamers had reached a certain level.

They will now be releasing a new series of NFTS and PFPs (profile NFTs you can use on Twitter etc) that owners can wear like a badge of honour.

The game itself is an ambitious play and Louis Vuitton has been leading the luxury fashion market into the future of web3 and immersive web with innovative new ways to tell stories – the whole premise of Louis the Game is an ethereal way to explore the 200 year heritage of the brand.

We appreciate Louis Vuitton’s double down for Louis The Game, giving it longevity beyond the early hype moment. Although we can imagine the level of investment made to create the game was incredibly high - the look of the game is beautiful, with a feel that's akin to gentle Animal Crossing style gameplay.

That said, we’d be intrigued to see just how many people completed the game to gain access to the raffle and if this release of new NFTs isn’t a longer-term strategy to iterate the game itself, but just get audience numbers up.
